The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The 49,500 square-foot Harrisville Cannery was built for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It sits on 7.5 acres, stands one story, and includes a 4,000 square-foot bean processing area under an open canopy with provisions for another 4,000 square-foot corn processing canopy area in the future. The facility includes administrative offices, volunteer training room, employee and volunteer locker areas, cooler and freezer space for storage of raw ingredients, cooking and canning process rooms, warehouse for storage of finished goods, shipping and receiving docks, QC laboratory, maintenance shop, and the utility and interstitial space typical of a processing facility.

The Tyson Foods Case-Ready Plant is a new, 600,000-sf meat processing plant for fresh beef and pork. The facility allows for meat-cutting and packaging operations, where large cuts of beef and pork are converted into steaks, chops, roasts, and ground meat to be packaged, weighed, and labeled on retail trays for distribution to stores, “case ready.” The project, completed utilizing design-build delivery method, included construction of multiple structures; the Case-Ready Facility with processing, storage and office/administrative spaces, employee and truck security buildings, a storage building and a process waste pre-treatment building. The Tyson Case-Ready Plant is the first new facility of its type that Tyson has built in the past 20 years and at the time of completion was one of only four in the country and the first in the western United States.
